The long Broad River originates in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is a major tributary of the Congaree River. Some of the features of this paddling adventure include Hampton and Haltiwanger islands, rural and pristine natural landscapes, wildlife and flora. Trees that line the banks of the river include a variety of oak species, riverbirch and more. Fishing is also good, with a couple different bass species and catfish. Wildlife you may see include, alligator, heron, Cormorant and more.
